Job description
Application Security Engineer required by a high-tech software company with technical teams in the UK and US.
The successful Application Security Engineer will be the AppSec subject matter expert within the business. The role is focused more towards coaching technical teams than "hands on" pen testing etc. The successful Application Security Engineer will be tasked with empowering software development teams, coaching them via code reviews and similar with an emphasis on threat/vulnerability management.
Key experience
- Security design reviews
- Working with development teams on code reviews
- Threat management
- Vulnerability management
- Technical knowledge; a background in software development (particularly C#) is preferred
Experience in any of the following areas would be advantageous, but is not essential.
- Prior technical knowledge of C#, JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
- SAST
- DAST
- Working with third parties for pen testing and similar
