Application Support Manager

A leading organisation operating within the logistics sector is looking for an Application Support Manager to join their team in Southampton.

The Application Support Manager will join an existing IT Team and will ensure the provision of business application support meets the requirements of the company.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Application Support Manager to broaden their skills and experience.

The Application Support Manager will:

  • Provide support to the Helpdesk and BSA team, or other nominated teams / departments as required to meet the business requirements
  • Day to Day management of the ASA team, ensuring the requirements of the business are met
  • Providing and maintaining documentation as required for Audit purposes
  • Act as the first line of support to provide application assistance to users, vendors and customers by assessing, identifying and implementing solutions
  • Ensure training and support is provided to the business application users maintaining system integrity and ensuring the correct procedures are undertaken
  • Maintain good working relationships with both vendors, customers and staff, ensuring all are kept informed of any relevant information
  • Providing testing and support for new application releases
  • Maintain and manage the Information Technology Service Management System and its' usage with the business, including the reporting of key data, identification of common problems/ root causes of issues and appropriate solutions/training.
  • Proactively drive innovation and improvement
  • Product ownership of secondary applications
  • Ensuring training and other applicable documentation is created and maintained

The Application Support Manager will have the below experience:

  • Experience / knowledge of Commercial, Operational and Financial systems and business processes
  • Knowledge / experience of business applications
  • Experience of Application support and documentation
  • Understanding of good customer service requirements
  • Experience in team management

This Application Support Manager role is paying up to £50,000 with excellent benefits.
