£65,000 to £75,000 + bonus & benefits

We have an exciting Product Manager role with a market leading technology company building data capture solutions within a digital services environment.

This market leading company have a global team with a highly talented software team based in Southampton, Hampshire.

The role of Product Manager is to lead the Development of cloud platforms to 3rd party customers. Working with a talented and ambitious software team to design and architect cloud platforms delivering optimisation, availability, performance & cost efficiencies across customer platforms. This has both technical and strategic levels of accountability, being able to design and document technical specifications and help drive forward product performance and optimisation.

The Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle, including gathering and prioritising product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with the business to ensure customer satisfaction.

Major Functions/Responsibility

• Owning the vision and architectural roadmap of the cloud platform and infrastructure domain.

• Ensuring the product direction takes into account the concerns of security, scalability, compatibility and maintainability and operational costs.

• Specify market requirements for current and future product features by conducting market research supported by on-going engagements with customers and non-customers.

• The ability to articulate and define complex technical use cases to internal and external developer teams and stake holders.

• Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes.

• Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.

• Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding.

Skills & Experience Required

• 3+ years of product management experience specifically within customer-based cloud solutions - Azure or AWS preferred.

• Strong understanding of Web Technologies or Cloud platform architecture and deployment dependencies.

• A technical background covering network security, infrastructure & cloud platforms.

• Ability to read and understanding technical information to translate to product requirements and designs.

• Strong understanding of the DevOps cycle and tools used.

• Experience of cloud-hosted systems

• Understanding of the principles of network security, authentication and authorization

• Demonstrated ability to understand and translate non-technical feature descriptions into structured use cases, requirements, and specifications for technical audiences.

• Understanding of business process, and project costs pertaining to licensing and 3rd party product maintenance

• Experience in writing Technical Systems / Solutions Documentation
