Job Description:

Spectrum IT are looking for a Contract Digital Data Analyst to get involved with working across several product areas across Commercial, Digital Service and App teams for one of our clients. The role will provide data, reporting, insight and analysis which illustrates a complete picture of the performance across digital (web and app) assets. You are expected to guide product owners to the right data points and support them to self-serve through appropriate reporting/automation using Google Big Query, Google Analytics and Google Data Studio.

The role will also involve building queries and automating data sets, analysing data to drive the optimisation and improvements of the journeys, along with supporting the tagging and development of the website and app. The position interacts with a number of roles including Product Owners, the wider Digital Analytics team (including reporting analysts along with the Tagging and Implementation Manager), Website & App Developers, and Business Analysts.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing accurate data, reporting and dashboards to key stakeholders using the existing systems
  • Support analytics, digital and development teams to ensure we have the best possible data capture, tagging and reporting
  • Deliver and support the necessary BAU
  • Work collaboratively with the product teams to define and set out datalayer updates to enhance data capture and reporting requirements
  • Utilise the existing data to conduct analysis along with providing insight and recommendations for improvement and optimisation
  • Support with data capture across existing and upcoming product development
  • Check all reporting and analysis for accuracy
  • Ensure reporting & analysis slides are updated

Skills:

  • Background in digital data & analytics
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL skills with knowledge of Google BigQuery
  • Experience of building and adjusting SQL queries
  • Working knowledge of Google Firebase app and web tracking/reporting
  • Experience of tag management process and tracking using tools such as Tealium or GTM would be an advantage
  • Experience of developing reporting and an ability to draw insights from reporting and analysis that informs business decisions
  • Knowledge of digital across web & app
  • Day-to-day experience of using Google Analytics
  • Experience of creating automated reporting / dashboards using Google Data Studio
  • Experience of digital project work an advantage
  • Ability to use planning and prioritisation tools such as Jira and Confluence
