Contract Junior IT Support

Spectrum IT's Hampshire based retail client are expanding due to increased business needs and company sales - For this reason they have an increased demand for IT Support throughout the business.

Our client are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to assist with entry/junior level IT Support, this is an initial 3-month contract inside IR35 (engagement via an FCSA Umbrella Company). This is a great opportunity to join a thriving and busy support team and handle some of the day-to-day IT support aspects as well as gain exposure to basic customer problems and resolutions.

As a junior member of the IT Support team you will assist by manning the IT Service Desk phone, taking initial calls and triaging issues for resolution or escalation. You will log tickets, taking detailed notes of issues and where possible resolve simple tasks such as Account unlocks/ password resets etc allowing the wider support team to focus on larger ticket problems.

Please note: Candidates for this role must be within a commutable distance to the Winchester / Basingstoke area to work on site / in office 5 days per week.

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:

Communications:

  • Ensure calls are answered promptly and dealt with in a professional and timely manner.
  • A high level of professionalism in all business communications (verbal and written).
  • Communicate high priority issues to the team so everyone is aware.
  • Focus on customer service and assisting the business to resolve issues

Technical:

  • Provide first-time fixes for basic IT issues and requests
  • Assist with ServiceDesk ticket queues.

Quality:

  • Work with users to determine useful, detailed, and accurate information.
  • Ensure all issues and service requests are accurately recorded in the IT ServiceDesk system.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Previous IT Support Experience or suitable degree/education experience for the role
  • Office 365
  • Windows 7 -10
  • Excellent telephone manner and professionalism
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision (after training)
