DevOps Engineer - AWS

Up to 50k + 3 days per week remote (Berkshire)

I'm working with a fast-growing technology company who are partnered with household names such as Tesco's & ITV to provide cutting edge software solutions. They are currently focused on optimising the performance and speed of their applications and need a talented DevOps Engineer to join the business.

As a DevOps Engineer you will work in a dedicated team within a larger agile software development team focused on short development sprints and regular release cycles. Their cloud-based SaaS application is used by a number of enterprise customers and optimisation and performance throughout their development process is key to success.

Technical skills

  • Experience with core AWS services
  • Experience of CI/CD tools (Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, CodePipeline)
  • Knowledge of containerisation (Docker)
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Shell, Bash, Python)
  • Experience of VA and Application Security tools (Inspector, Snyk)
  • Experience of log monitoring and observability tools (SumoLogic, Scalyr, New Relic)
  • Use of collaboration and versioning tools (Jira, Git)
  • Knowledge of IAC Tools (AWS CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform)

Responsibilities

  • You will work within the existing DevOps team and contribute to the continuous improvement, maintenance, and performance infrastructure across multiple global locations
  • You will work with the Development & QA Automation teams to ensure and maintain reliable and secure CI/CD pipelines
  • You will work with Customer Support team to assist with enabling and troubleshooting platform integrations
  • You will contribute to the adoption and rollout of technologies that improve application monitoring, event and metrics tracking
  • You will contribute to the maintenance of up-to-date documentation regarding the application SDLC, operational processes and security best practices
  • You will contribute to testing, validating and updating the Disaster recovery plans as appropriate
