Front End Developer / UI Developer

Fully Remote

£55,000 - £65,000

We are searching for a talented front end developer / UI developer for our clients Digital development team. The right individual will have attention to detail and a passion for designing the best user experiences. You will have a flair for understanding user journeys and a track record of delivering attractive software that best supports those journeys. You'll be joining a growing international organisation and will be a crucial part of their product design and development with plenty of autonomy and sway in design/development decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Working alongside Solution Managers, you will be designing rapid prototypes of future products through the company's customer engagement programmes.
  • As part of the Digital development team you will work on the front end of a variety of products, making sure that it fits in with UI strategy while also taking every opportunity to maximise the user experience and really bring the products to life.
  • You will represent the UK Digital team in our Europe-wide UI steering group to help develop the UI strategy and ensure that the best UI/UX experience is created for all of the company products.

Required Skills

  • Strong CSS and Sass skills
  • Javascript &/or TypeScript web development
  • Experience of source control, issue tracking and continuous integrations tools such as Git, YouTrack and TeamCity
  • Experience creating svg and png icons and graphics

Additional skills (non-essential)

  • Experience of Angular 2+
  • Experience of TDD and unit testing
  • Knowledge/use of agile methodologies
  • Experience of customer design workshops
  • Understanding of WCAG accessibility standards

You'll be working across a wide technology stack in a small, Agile team so you will be encouraged to pick up and excel in other technologies. You'll be expected to use the latest technologies so you must be willing to keep up to date and ideally will be somebody who can contribute to the conversations on our future technological direction.

While this role is offered fully remote, all candidates applying must be eligible to work in the UK and be based from a UK address.
