Head of Software Engineering - up to £130k+
London - Hybrid working
A Senior leadership opportunity for a household name retail / ecommerce brand. This role would be a great fit for candidates currently leading teams developing customer facing apps within a Java, AWS based tech stack.
This position is an opportunity for candidates currently in a Head of Development / Senior Engineering Manager position or similar looking for a step up into CTO role.
The Head Development / CTO would manage the Development function across the business, which includes teams in the UK and offshore. A key focus is improving current development processes, implementing best practice and utilising modern software engineering principles whilst also facilitating growth and profitability.
The company have offices in London and offer Hybrid working options (3-4 days WFH on average)
Essential experience:
- An experienced people manager, able to effectively lead multiple teams both onshore and offshore
- Experienced in developing and delivering customer facing applications.
- Strong Software architecture knowledge, able to steer decision making
- Previous experience in a Java and AWS based tech environments
- Able to demonstrate implementing relevant processes, Shift-Left, TDD, SOLID, etc
- E-Commerce, Retail or Marketplace industry experience is desirable
