IT Asset Manager
Southampton + Work from home options (4 days per week)
£65,000 - £75,000 + Bonus and benefits
We are looking highly experienced IT Asset Manager to join an international organisations Operations Team. This role will involve being the senior figure / leading a small team of 3 where you'll be accountable for the IT asset management process and related tools for the company's software capabilities. You'll be maintaining best practices, identifying technology / market trends relevant to IT asset management and managing the overall performance and development of the company's IT Assets.
Responsibilities
- Define and deliver the IT asset management roadmap.
- Ensure that Asset management tooling is always up to date and that its value is improved.
- Ensure accurate lifecycle management of IT assets and optimize IT asset usage including SAAS.
- Maintain and continuously improve asset management process and related policies. Ensure consistency in all Kingfisher locations and collaborate closely with banners.
- Promote the IT asset management function within the group and all banners by educating key stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement and process automation. Identify cost optimization opportunities.
- Ensure that the company remains in sync with its software licence obligations.
- Coordinate software audits and any mitigation activities.
- Lead a small team of IT asset management analyst and partners (mainly based in Southampton with hybrid working).
- Perform watch on the best practises/technology/market trend pertinent to IT asset management. Assess the potential impact of changes in the commercial landscape of the software industry.
Skills Required
- Strong and extensive SAP experience
- Experience in a software-focused or SaaS environment is essential
- Experience in a large-scale corporate business
- Prior experience of monitoring Effective Licencing Positions (ELPs)
- Prior experience managing larger 3rd party vendors
- Demonstrable experience in handling IT assets
- Good experience in running software vendor contracts (Expertise in contract management, especially related to software licencing.)
- Ability in leading and managing people
- Experience in handling service partners
- ITAM/SAM professional acuity
This role will be based out of the companies Southampton office; however the requirement to be in the office will likely be 2 days per fortnight on average so applicants are welcome from further afield as long as they are willing to travel to the office on a few times per month.
