Our client is the UK's leading digital marketplace within their sector. The platform is developed using JavaScript, Node.js, TypeScript and React with talented teams split in 2 squads (SCRUM & Kanban).
What will you be doing?
Developing a fast-scaling digital marketplace using full stack JavaScript !
Why?
Out with the old and in with the new is the dev team philosophy, ripping up the existing product every 2 years and rewriting it in the best available modern tech stack.
Currently that's a Microservices architecture and full-scale JavaScript.
Who?
We're looking for talented Javascript developers, preferably full-stack, but we're also interested in excellent React developers looking to learn. Someone in the 5-6 years' experience range, looking to join a great team with a collaborative, friendly environment. Perfect for someone with experience, who is hungry to take on new projects and work closely with both a UK and nearshore team. They already have a large, modern, robust & busy platform and they're looking forward to getting stuck into some new projects to make it even better!
Requirements:
- Good software development principles and practices. No cowboys
- Understanding of product development lifecycle from scratch to deployment
- Good knowledge of the whole web stack (front-end, back-end, database, etc.)
- Deep knowledge of JavaScript (ES6/7)
- Experience with Node.js and React (at least 1-year usage in production)
- HTML, CSS & responsive design
- Experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL
- Development tools (Webpack/Gulp)
Desirable:
- MongoDB
- Unit testing
- Docker, Kubernetes
- Experience with DevOps and understanding of architecture for High Load projects
