Technical Author

A leading data security software company are looking for a Technical Author to join their growing organisation.

The Technical Author will join a small team and contribute to establishing processes and procedures within the Technical Author function.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Technical Author to join a business who are going through major growth with a market leading technology.

As a Technical Author you will support the Senior Technical Author in establishing processes and procedures and standing the Technical Author function up.

The role of Technical Author will involve:

  • Work with our internal teams to gather an expert understanding of the platform and associated products in order to write documentation
  • Take ownership of internal standards and drive the development of best practices for production of technical documentation
  • Write easy to understand developer guides
  • Audit and enhance any existing documentation
  • Work with our Engineering and Product teams to produce learning and knowledge artefacts and detailed operating procedures for training
  • Write clear documentation for various tools

The successful Technical Author will have;

  • Ability to create and documentation and artefacts from scratch for green field projects
  • Able to understand complex technical concepts and present comprehensive, concise, accurate and useful information.
  • Passionate about writing technical documentation.
  • Previous experience of working within the software development lifecycle
  • Proven ability to produce internal documentation and training materials

The role of Technical Author is paying up to £55,000 depending on experience and fantastic benefits which include; 25 days annual leave, Enhanced Pension Contribution, Catered Lunch and more.
