UX Designer, UX Specialist, Digital Retail

We have an exciting new opportunity for a UX Specialist to join a successful digital retail company with a big brand name and a great reputation. Working within the UX Design team this role favours someone with a passion for User Experience Design, a background in UX and experience of the fundamental concepts of User Experience; User Journey, User Research, Data, Technology, Prototyping, wire-framing etc.

This is a key role within this organisation, ecommerce web and digital sales is what drives the success of the business. Their brand is global and modelling and analysing the user journey plays a key part in the success of the company.

You will be responsible for the UX design and actionable customer research for brands within the group. You will identify customer pain points through quantitative and qualitative methods and propose solutions that always promote user needs.

Scope of the role:

  • Delivering high quality design and research. Influencing product roadmaps and working closely with Product Owners and technical teams to achieve success.
  • Produce and present a range of high-quality creative deliverables including wireframes, prototypes, user journeys and usability reviews. Being an advocate of mobile first design.
  • Delivering high quality actionable research that influences strategy and roadmap. Being proactive and resourceful. Being an advocate for a test and learn approach to all design work.
  • Deliver designs which adhere to responsible accessible design standards.
  • Proactively supporting the wider design workstreams on customer centric design best practice and getting buy in on better ways of working.

Experience:

  • Previous UX Design experience and best practices
  • Proficient in UX design and prototyping tools such as Axure, Figma
  • Experience in use of digital research tools such as Google Analytics, Hotjar, Usertesting.com or equivalents
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Device-agnostic approach to design
  • Solid understanding of UX customer-first best practice and web standards
