Internal Support Engineer - Southampton - £22k - £24k
Internal Support Engineer is required to join a leading IT outsourcing company based out of their customer site in Southampton.
The role of an Internal Support Engineer will involve giving 1st and 2nd line support, looking after all the internal infrastructure. My client has a Microsoft based infrastructure which includes Server 2012 and VMware along with Windows 7/10 desktop systems. You will be responsible for the continuing support of the infrastructure and will be heavily involved in all of the IT based projects throughout the full lifecycle. You will be liaising with all internal users and stakeholders where required.
The correct Internal Support Engineer will ideally have 2/3 years' experience within an IT support role. If possible you will also hold an industry recognised certification.
You will have strong knowledge within:
- Microsoft Server 2008 / 2012
- VMware
- Exchange
- Active Directory
- Windows 7/10
- Hardware & software support
As you will be liaising with all levels of internal users then your communication skills, both written and verbal must be very strong.
