1st Line Support Engineer
1st Line Support Engineer required to join my client in Southampton, Hampshire. You will be joining a team of 25 Support Engineers responsible for all support queries into the business.
You will be required to ensure all support calls / e-mails are logged within KPI's using the call management system. You will provide both software and hardware support using remote control / access systems for all engineers on site. You will be involved in the implementation of new software, hardware releases and ad-hoc rollouts.
You will have a basic understanding of supporting the following:-
- Windows OS (2000 - Windows 7)
- Network Infrastructure
- Borland & SQL
- Visual Basic & C#
- Excellent Communication Skills
- NVQ1 / GCSEs and above (or equivalent)
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Working in a pressurized environment
You will be responsible for logging all calls on both the internal call management system (Metro) and in some case a third party system (e.g. Verisae).
This is a very busy role with very high call volumes so this is something you need to be used to and comfortable with.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a shift work role and the successful candidate will be require to work on a 4 days on / 4 days off basis between the hours of 6am - 11p, Monday to Sunday. You may also have to provide night shift cover on an ad-hoc basis. Please only apply if you are happy to work this shift pattern.
