My client are an IT service provider / Managed Service Provider (MSP) based near Bournemouth. They work with a range of small to medium sized businesses to provide managed IT services, Cloud services, backup/disaster recovery, consultancy and support.
They are looking for a 2nd/3rd line Support technician/engineer to join the business on a permanent basis. Ideally you will be competent at 2nd line support with exposure to 3rd line and be looking to make that progression with support and guidance. The ideal candidate for the role will have working experience in an MSP and excellent customer service. You will need to have excellent networking experience with LAN/WAN/Firewalls & VLANs and good hardware knowledge of PC Builds and installations. A strong diagnostic mind-set and attention to detail is key. You will possess excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills and be confident working to deadlines.
You will have experience in the following areas:
- Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10
- Backup Monitoring and Management / Veeam, Backup Exec
- Office 365
- Active Directory
- LAN/WAN/Firewalls & VLANs
- PowerShell / Scripting
- ESET Anti-virus / RAC / deployment and Management
- Security & Compliance
My client is offering a competitive salary of £30,000 - £35,000 plus 33 days holiday. They provide excellent opportunities for further training and development. Their shift pattern is two shifts - 8am to 5pm or 9am to 6pm and their office is easily commutable from Bournemouth, Southampton and Salisbury with free parking.
