3rd Line Support Engineer

Job description

3rd Line Support Engineer required by a successful MSP based in Basingstoke. Due to continued success and growth they are looking for an experienced 3rd Line Support Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling escalated issues and for providing 3rd line support for customers. The successful 3rd Line Support engineer will be responsible for:

- Resolving issues remotely over the phone

- Handling escalated issues and provide assistance to the Service Desk manager

- Providing infrastructure support for multiple clients

- Working directly with customers to assist in set-up and troubleshooting of software

Key Criteria:

- Familiarity with Virtualisation technologies - Including VWware or equivalent

- Understanding of Networking and Firewall technologies

- Familiarity with Windows Server and Active Directory

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Exchange

- Experience working in a customer-facing role

Desirable skills:

- Use of Backup Exec, Veeam or equivalent

- Experience with a range of Operating Systems

- Knowledge of setting up and maintaining Firewalls

- Understanding of SAP/SQL/Oracle
