3rd Line Support Engineer is required to join a growing and progressive IT outsourcing / IT reseller company from their head office based in Poole.
The role of a 3rd Line Support Engineer will be to provide in-depth Infrastructure support to their growing client base. You will be involved in all Server level issues along with any issues which are escalated from their 2nd line team. You will be working within a Windows environment (Server 2012 / 2016, Exchange 2013 and Active Directory) but also with other technologies such as VMware and Citrix. Please note that strong VMware skills are essential for this role. The majority of the role will be done from their head office but you may be expected to travel to client site on occasion.
The correct candidate for the 3rd Line Support Engineer role would preferably have some experience working with an IT outsourcing company / IT reseller or have worked within a strong 2nd line support role or 3rd line support.
My client is looking for someone with the following experience:
- Microsoft Server systems up to 2012R2, if possible 2016
- Exchange 2010 / 2013, any exposure to Office 365 would be good
- Active Directory
Further experience within some or all of the following would also be highly beneficial:
- Citrix XenApp / XenDesktop / RDS
- SAN Systems
Mainly 8am-5pm/9am-6pm rotation, with occasional 7am-4pm rotation if necessary. No weekends.
24/7 on call rotation - shared between 3-4 people doing 1 week at a time. There is a standby fee of £300 per week and any calls taken are paid as overtime as well.
As you will be working as part of a team and will be in regular contact with my clients growing customer base then your communications, both written and verbal must be very strong.
