Analyst/ Programmer - Chichester

£34,000 - £38,000 + Benefits packages

Our client is looking for an Analyst Programmer to join the development team in Chichester to provide support for special projects, any new developments and existing infrastructure. They are looking for a candidate with previous experience in a similar role and also with experience in technologies including C#, .NET (4.5), MVC, Javascript/ JQuery and Oracle/ other SQL.

The client is an asset management company that since being established40 years ago has continued to grow to now having 4 offices based along the South Coast. The projects you'd be working on would include the companies intranet site, their client portal site,. The oracle servers, internally developed applications and externally developed systems.

Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Design and development of new multi-page subsites and data-driven interactive pages;
  • General support, e.g. amendments to existing C#, .Net, PHP, ASP.NET MVC or ASP pages.
  • Intranet reports drawing data from Oracle database (e.g. SQL SELECT statements, or calling Oracle procedures);
  • Full project lifecycle from requirements analysis, solution design, front end development, testing and implementation.
  • MI / New and Lost business reporting;
  • Provide support for existing infrastructure previously mentioned and any new developments
  • Production of technical, support and user documentation
  • Mentoring and training of junior members of the Development Team.
  • To liaise with other members of staff, notably the Development Team, IT, Client Services and Finance Department, to identify areas where new systems could be established to improve the use of data within Thesis
  • Aid in liaison with IT and the evaluation of IT support requirements
  • To provide assistance to the IT Support Team on an occasional basis in those circumstances where the skills/knowledge/experience required to address particular issues that do not exist in the IT Team.
  • Managing of own projects, keeping stakeholders informed

Experience/ Attributes:

  • It is essential that the job holder has a good working knowledge of the .NET framework (using C#) and SQL language, that has been acquired from working in a similar role.
  • Experience of working with NET MVC, JavaScript / jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
  • Communicates effectively; written and verbal
  • Effective on the telephone
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients, and to explain technical subjects to non-technical audiences.
  • Discreet and confidential approach
  • Patient, friendly and helpful disposition
  • Prioritises and manages time effectively
