Application Support (Data Analytics)

Job description

An Application Support analyst is required to provide support on software and Business Intelligence services via reporting, data models, data processing, development, coding and application support.

The role of Application Support analyst

  • Act a 2nd line escalation point for all Application Support and Business Intelligence incidents
  • Perform proactive checks of key processes and data movements
  • Provide support & guidance of applications, data processes, BI services and databases
  • Assist in the creation and modification of reports
  • Help troubleshoot application and data-related incidents and problems
  • Support internal Intranet sites
  • Contribute towards testing of software updates, bug fixes, new processes and new releases

The successful Application Support analyst will have;

  • Experience in a technical IT Support role
  • Ability to find patterns and trends in data and support incidents
  • Experience of Microsoft SQL server and T-SQL
  • Experience of Excel and VBA Macros
  • Knowledge of data models, data processing, coding languages and software design
  • Knowledge of databases, database queries and how to extract or report on multiple disparate sources of data
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence technology, such as SQL Reporting Services and Analysis Cubes
  • An ability to explain technology and technical content to a non-technical audience

The role of Application Support Analyst is based in Havant is paying £25,000 with excellent benefits including 25days holiday, Bonus, Pension and more.
