Application Support Engineer - 3rd line
Hampshire; Southampton, Winchester area
£28,000 - £33,000 based on experience

An established IT / SaaS business requires an experienced 2nd/3rd line Application Support Engineer to join their growing Development team. The role will work across a broad environment, liaising with internal teams and external customers offering Support for the companies Applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Support and Development Manager you will provide Application support to a number of external customers and internal IT when required
  • Perform software installations and upgrades on customers systems
  • Provide remote support
  • Communicate with customers and 3rd party suppliers
  • Ensure that all customer issues are logged clearly and in detail on the internal support system.
  • Ensure that customers are kept fully updated on any issues

Essential Experience:

  • Experience supporting a broad range of apps / products is highly desirable
  • 3rd line Support Desk / Windows Application Support experience
  • Excellent task prioritisation and personnel time management
  • Strong understanding of MSSQL Server is desirable
  • Infrastructure and Networking experience
  • Excellent communication skills via phone and email
