Title: Contract Application Support Analyst

Location: Southampton, Hampshire

Rate: Dependent on experience

Duration: Initially 3-6 months

The duties of the Contract Support Analyst are as follows:

  1. Logging, diagnosis and resolution of 1st - 3rd line support issues through to completion and closure.

  2. Provide a timely and professional response to customer queries & issues

  3. Maintenance of internal systems to ensure that these are up-to-date

  4. Testing of Development fixes for support issues

  5. Implementation of Software changes and fixes into internal and customer environments based on the company's change management policies.

  6. Escalation of support issues in line with the company's Service Level Agreement (SLA)

  7. Actively contribute to the continuous improvement process

  8. Any other reasonable tasks, which may be assigned to the role such as minor project related tasks

Technical Skills & experience (Essential):

  • Windows Client and Server operating systems

  • MS Office applications including Word, Outlook and Excel

  • Working on a busy Support Desk in a customer focused environment

  • Supporting external customers in SLA based working environments

  • Microsoft SQL Server: 2008, 2012, 2014, 2016

  • Writing SQL queries and manipulating data

  • IIS & Component Services

  • VPN & other remote access technologies

Technical Skills & experience (Desirable):

  • Oracle 10g, 11g, 12c

  • Document Management Technologies

  • Optical Character Recognition Technologies

  • Software Development and working with Development Team

  • Oracle Databases: installation, querying and data manipulation

  • Networks architecture, IT security and Active Directory

  • Production scanners (e.g. Kodak, Fujitsu)

  • Citrix / terminal service technologies

  • PeopleSoft

  • SQL Server SSIS Packages
