Contract IT Support technician required to be 1st point of contact with IT queries from users in person, via phone, email and help desk portal.

Job Description

  • Provide IT support via telephone, remotely or in person for the resolution of software, hardware or network issues, in line with service level agreements
  • Ensure all support calls are logged and a note of the solution documented
  • Assist with the provision of PC and mobile phone equipment to new starters
  • Carry out initial fault finding for technical issues and either resolve or escalate as appropriate
  • Liaise with external third party support teams to resolve issues to a successful conclusion, as necessary
  • Interface with other IT Service teams where required, to resolve/escalate issues
  • Responding to Service Desk tickets within the appropriate service delivery timeframes
  • Setup, deployment and ongoing support of client environments
  • Support of voice/video communication systems
  • Day to day support for core Desktop services
  • Active Directory and user account creation/management
  • IT Department general administrative duties as required

Skills

  • Experience of working in a 1st line support role is essential
  • A working knowledge of Windows 7/10 and Microsoft Office 2007/2013/365
  • Experience of multi-function printers an advantage
  • Experience of IT Help-Desk software is an advantage
  • Experience of working within a small multidisciplinary IT support team desirable
