The role of an IT Desktop Support Engineer will involve giving 1st and 2nd line support to my clients growing base of customers all within a Microsoft environment. You will give all IT Support either via telephone, email or more often via remote support. You will be the initial point of contact for all IT issues and will give full support for that, ensuring that customer is being kept up to date.
The correct individual will have at least six months experience working within an IT support environment. If possible you will also hold an industry recognised certification such as a CompTIA A+ / N+, or an MCP.
My client is looking for someone with basic experience of:
- Windows Desktop - 7, 8 & 10
- Telephone and remote IT Support
- Active Directory
- Exchange / Office 365
- Microsoft Server - 2012 / 2016
- VMware / Hyper-V (Desirable)
- Citrix (Desirable)
As you will be working within a team environment and also speaking to my clients' customers on a daily basis, then your communication skills must be very strong.
