£23,000 - £28,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Desktop Support Engineer to join a reputable company, working on client site in Winchester.

This role is perfect for a self-starter looking to work across 1st / 2nd line support covering hardware and software working as part of a small team. The successful Desktop Support Engineer will be working both desk side, and remotely, providing technical support for end users. This will include: Fault finding, Troubleshooting, Imaging & Deployment, and configuration and support of Mobile Devices..

The ideal Desktop Support Engineer will be flexible, adaptable and customer service driven. They will ideally have 2/3 years'+ experience working in a technical support environment.

Essential technical skills:

  • Supporting laptops, desktops & mobile devices
  • Windows10
  • Windows Server operating systems - 2008 / 2012 / 2016
  • Active Directory
  • Exchange / O365
  • Networking

Desirable skills:

  • ITIL
  • Application Support
  • Knowledge of ISO 20000
  • Microsoft MCP Certification
  • Comptia A+
  • Comptia Net+

As this role is working within a small IT team, the successful candidate will be pro-active, driven and an excellent communicator.
