Job description
DevOps Engineer required by a high-tech software company located in Southampton. The successful DevOps Engineer will be responsible for taking ownership of and improving the company's DevOps processes and strategies and playing a key role in the expansion of a DevOps team.
The successful candidate is likely to have proven experience in a similar role as well as varied technical knowledge. Due to the nature of the products the company develops, this role would afford the successful candidate exposure to a variation of modern technologies.
Key experience
- Kubernetes
- Docker
- Cloud or big data technologies e.g. AWS, NoSQL databases, Hadoop etc
- Scripting knowledge
- Extensive Linux knowledge
- Development tools such as Git, Jenkins etc
- Provisioning systems e.g. Puppet, Foreman, Ansible etc
Any prior experience in a sys admin capacity would be advantageous.
