DevOps Engineer
Southampton, Hampshire

£35,000 - £45,000
DevOps Engineer required for my client, a leader in their field based in Southampton. You will work amongst a technical team of around 30 members made up of DevOps, Software Engineers, Testers, Product Managers and Scrum Masters. You will work in an open and collaborative culture where you can help shape the direction and development of some unique and advanced software systems used by some of the world's most recognised brands. You will be given the opportunity to innovate and encouraged to participate in rapid prototyping and hackathons. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving installation, implementation, and production issues, operating and managing the deployment, testing and production environments based across the UK and North America on a mixture of physical and virtual infrastructure.
You will have the following skills:-
- RedHat based Linux distributions
- Script Writing (Bash, PHP, Python etc.)
- Continuous Integration Practices
- Hosting, monitoring and troubleshooting complex web applications
- Relational databases and NoSQL databases
- Configuration Management Tools: Ansible, Puppet and Infrastructure-as-Code - Terraform
- Containers - Docker and / or Kubernetes
- Cloud Computing
- A Passion for automation and continuous improvement
Bonus Points for:-
- RHCSA or RHCE Certification
- AWS Certifications
