DevOps Engineer - Southampton
Azure, CI, TeamCity, Docker, Automation, Linux, Windows
£45,000 - £60,000 based on experience + benefits and flexible working options
A great opportunity for a DevOps Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing technology company building innovative Digital products. This role will join a talented IT team with an initial focus on supporting their Cloud environment and owning the internal DevOps processes.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a company who view the IT team as paramount to their current and future success; they are keen to hire people who are driven with a customer-focused mindset and the ability to work with both in house and offshore teams.
The DevOps Engineer will initially focus on managing the hosted solution, keeping Service levels high, support of external client apps, streamlining build processes and writing code when needed. Commercial DevOps experience and exposure to relevant DevOps tools or setting up an Azure DevOps function internally is highly desirable, but not essential.
Required skills
- Commercial experience in a Cloud environment and/or migrating to a modern Cloud platform; Azure or AWS
- Continuous Integration, TeamCity
- Automation of manual processes using Chef or similar
- Containerisation with Docker
- Windows and Linux knowledge is preferred
- Good Agile, SCRUM understanding
- Excellent communicator who can work at all levels of a business
- Programming skills; C#, JavaScript, Python or similar are highly desirable
