Graduate Software Engineer x2 - Node, JavaScript, AWS

Graduates, are you ready for something awesome?

We have an innovative technology customer based in Romsey, Hampshire, that build a dynamic range of digital payment solutions for some of the UK's leading retail, FMCG and consumer services companies.
They are looking for two talented graduates to join the team and help them build a new platform. You will bring ideas and enthusiasm and not just make up the numbers but become a key contributor to architecture and development.

The company is about to launch its new cloud platform which is a completely greenfield product that will enable the team to develop a service from a blank canvass.

The technology stack is not yet fully decided but we can predict it will involve AWS Cloud Services, JavaScript, NodeJS, Docker, Containerisation & Microservices.

You will be fully supported in your introduction to the business and mentored by a talented team. You will however be able to demonstrate through your degree and A-Levels and high level of aptitude for Computer Science, Software Engineering, Object Oriented Programming and a comprehensive grounding in the fundamental of software engineering & development.

Your experience, skills & profile -

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Maths or similar scientific, mathematical IT subject that lends itself to software engineering / development
  • Object Oriented Programming in any language - Java, C++, C#, PHP, Python - we don't mind!
  • An enthusiasm to learn JavaScript, Node, AWS, Cloud Services, Docker, Devops etc
  • Knowledge of web technology - JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Any experience of Linux is a bonus
  • Enthusiasm to learn, contribute, engineer solutions and be awesome
