Head of IT
Leatherhead, Surrey
£50,000 - £70,000 + Excellent Benefits Package
We have a unique opportunity for an experienced Head of IT to join a growing staffing association in their Leatherhead head office and take ownership of the recently restructured IT team, overseeing the entire IT function. The remit of this role will cover infrastructure, web services and CRM systems along with leading plans to meet the new GDPR regulations. You will have the opportunity to define and implement a vision for IT, designing an IT strategy that achieves set outcomes and drives efficiency. The successful candidate will enjoy remaining hands on, acting as a final escalation point of all IT issues but also work with suppliers and 3rd parties to proactively solve problems and keep projects on track.
You will oversee the day to day IT operations alongside the Technical Support Manager and also be responsible for budget scope, setting timescales and quality criteria as well as implementing procedures, processes, standards and documentation.
To be suitable for this role, you will need the following skills and experience:
- Responsibility for an entire IT function
- Project management (ideally PRINCE2)
- ITIL
- Capex / Opex budgeting
- Stakeholder engagement
- Critical thinking
- Attention to detail
- Creating and implementing business continuity and disaster recovery plans
- Ability to advise on risk and best practise
- Knowledge of GDPR
You will also need hands-on experience with the following technologies:
- Windows 7/10
- Windows Server 2012 +
- SQL
- Office 365
- IIS
- VMWare / Hyper-V
- Networking (LAN, WAN, Firewalls, Proxy, DNS, TCP/IP)
- Cyber security
- Cloud technologies (Azure/AWS)
