IT Infrastructure Support Engineer is required to join a leading company from their head office based in Basingstoke.
The role of IT Infrastructure Support Engineer will involve working as part of a team covering 3rd line support within a shift pattern as their service desk runs from 07:00 till 22:00 Monday to Friday and is open on Saturday from 10:00 till 16:00. My client has four offices based around the country so you will be expected to offer telephone and remote support where required. Working within a Microsoft Infrastructure environment you will be expected to work throughout the full lifecycle from initial builds of desktop and server systems through to managing and maintaining the existing server and network infrastructure to agreed standards. Furthermore you will provide technical expertise to the IT support team and internal users of IT Services
The correct candidate for the IT Infrastructure Support Engineer role will have at least 2-5 years commercial experience within IT support and if possible have gained an industry recognised IT qualification.
You will have experience within:
- Microsoft Server 2008 / 2012 / 2016
- Windows 7, 8 & 10 desktop systems
- Exchange 2010 / 2013 / Office 365
- Active Directory
- Experience within SQL would be desirable
- Any experience within the legal sector would also be highly desirable but is not required
As you will be working within a team environment, dealing within interval users along with third party suppliers your communication skills, both written and verbal, must be exemplary.
