IT Support Engineer required to join a growing and highly progressive managed service provider from their head office based on the outskirts of Basingstoke
The role of an IT support engineer will involve supporting their growing customer base, giving IT support either over the telephone, remotely or face to face. The role will involve configuration, troubleshooting and diagnostics of their IT systems, desktop & server systems and telephone systems.
The correct IT support engineer will have a proven background within 1st and 2nd line IT Support role with at least 2 years commercial experience and preferably hold a certification with IT (e.g. university degree, Microsoft certification, CompTIA, ITIL). Strong knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems with emphasis on Windows 7 / 10 and MS Server 2012/ 2016. Experience of Active Directory (AD), Exchange / Office 365, networking (LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi) and TCP/IP networking skills would be highly beneficial along with exposure to Azure. You should have experience of MS Office remote access tools such as VNC, log me in or PC Anywhere and an understanding of PC/Printer hardware and software set-up, configuration and troubleshooting. As you will be working in a team environment and dealing with end users on a daily basis your communication skills must be very strong, both written and verbal.
