IT Support Technician
An established UK Manufacturing business, based in Southampton is seeking an IT Support Technician to join their business and support the development of their IT Infrastructure.
This is a great opportunity for a skilled IT Support Technician to join a business and take full ownership over the IT Estate working with outsourced partners to complete project work.
This is a varied role and as an IT Support Technician you will;
- Document procedures and standardise processes across all sites
- BAU Support (1st - 3rd line)
- Responsible for local helpdesk - Software and Hardware
- Maintain VPN access
- Administer Office / O365 licenses
- Analysis of recurring IT tickets to provide improved solutions
- Responsible for IT and Office equipment register
- Support internal teams with IT Production & Test equipment
- Maintain access to networks following authorisation procedures
- Escalate issues to third party support as appropriate
- Maintenance of employees desktops and active directory
- Administer ERP System logons and monitor recurring routines and backups
- Computer room management at all sites
- Communicate regularly with end users
The successful IT Support Technician will have experience with:
- Strong IT Technical Support experience
- Knowledge of Oracle databases, Crystal reporting, Qlik sense Business Analytics and SQL
- Strong Diagnostic, problem solving and communication skills
- Windows OS including 7 & 10
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
- Prepared to travel between 2 sites
- Windows Server 2012 & 2016
- Good understanding of Network Technologies
- Knowledge of computer Hardware
- Working knowledge of Cyber Risks and prevention
The role of IT Support Technician is paying £30,000 - £40,000 with excellent benefits including, Bonus, up to 27 days holiday, Pension and onsite parking.
