Infrastructure Support Analyst ( Azure )

Job description

A leading Poole based charity, who is heavily investing in modernising their IT Infrastructure is seeking an Infrastructure Support Analyst with experience of cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS.

The role will see you supporting the users of the IT and communication systems across this diverse organisation.

As Infrastructure Support Analyst you will:

  • Day-to-day operations, administration and support of information and communication systems
  • Ensuring operational availability of data by continual monitoring and health checks of all information and communication systems to identify and resolve any issues - liaising with and escalating to 3rd party support partners or IT development team as appropriate
  • To liaise closely with development team colleagues regarding new information and communication systems to provide input into their development and testing and adopt their support when they go live
  • To ensure the operational integrity and availability of all data and system configurations held on the central systems and key pieces of supporting infrastructure. Ensuring that all data is securely backed up to agreed cycles and that backup media are handled and stored securely
  • To carry out capacity monitoring procedures to identify potential issues and take appropriate preventive action
  • To investigate, and resolve where possible, any incidents that are escalated to the team from other areas of IT, liaising with and escalating to 3rd party suppliers or IT Development team as appropriate
  • To identify new and participate in investigation and resolution of any problems with infrastructure, systems and processes
  • To action all standard changes required on systems located within the data centres
  • To action all day-to-day, standard patching cycles and procedures on all information and communication systems
  • To understand keep abreast of all technological developments within the organisation's infrastructure, in order to provide the team with technical expertise with all Microsoft and other server-based systems
  • To interface to all other areas of IT
  • To use LEAN Principles


The successful Infrastructure Support Analyst will have experience of:

  • Azure
  • Active Directory
  • Windows Server
  • Microsoft Exchange online / O365
  • AWS
  • SAN
  • Understanding of LAN & WAN Networking
  • Good verbal and written communications
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Good ability to communicate with internal and external parties

The role of Infrastructure Support Analyst is paying up to £36,000 with excellent benefits including 26 days holiday, up to 16% Pension, Dental & Health plans, child care vouchers and more.
