Job description
A Full Stack Java Developer is required for a global leading technology company based in the Whiteley Business Park, between Southampton and Portsmouth.
As part of a small development team you will be developing their core management platform that handles huge amounts of data and provides data processing, visualization and reporting functions.
Alongside this you be working on Web Apps for Web, Android and iOS platforms.
The successful Java Developer will have the following skills, experience and attributes:
- Serverside Java ( 7/8) - Tomcat, Maven Guava
- Modern JavaScript and CSS ( ES6, SASS, Google Maps, three.js, jQuery, Gulp )
- OOP, Software Architecture, design best practices/patterns
- MySQL
- Source control ( Git, Github )
- Linux ( Debian )
It would be beneficial for the Java Developer to have experience of:
- Geospatial applications
- Mobile Apps ( Android or iOS)
- Docker
- AWS Products/services
- Python
This Java Developer role offers a great deal of autonomy and flexibility so would suit an experience Java Developer who is self-motivated, with a passion for learning and solving problems using the latest technology.
We are open on the level of experience, as it's more about someone's interest in using the latest tech and ability to solve complex and interested problems.
