Java Software Developer - Cloud Services
Circa £40,000 - £55,000 + Benefits
Surrey; Farnborough area
We are looking for an experienced Java Software Developer to join an innovative SaaS provider based in Surrey. You will join an experienced development team contributing to API development in a growing sector offering room for progression and exposure to new innovative technologies.
The position is for a Mid to Senior level Software Developer with strong OOP skills (Java or TypeScript preferred) and a good background in application integration. The development team work on a broad product portfolio and you will be expected to contribute towards the development, roadmaps and optimization of their high performance apps.
The environment offers the opportunity to be heavily involved with the full API lifecycle development, Cloud services and innovative software delivery.
Essential experience:
- Experience of taking responsibility for major feature or product developments
- Must have a strong OOP background; Java, TypeScript or similar
- The work will be mostly server-side development, however Full stack skill sets will be utilised
- Excellent understanding of Agile best practice and TDD, BDD principles
- Experience of full lifecycle API development or integrations
- Exposure to Cloud Services / Products (Azure, AWS)
- Experience of RESTful models
- An excellent communicator with the ability to work as part of a team
Desirable skills:
- Awareness of information security and related tools
