Junior Application Support Engineer

Job description

Junior Application Support Engineer required by a global technology company based in Brighton, East Sussex. Due to continued growth my client is looking to hire a junior application support engineer to provide level 1 technical support to their external and internal clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing first line support to clients regarding administrative and front end use issues
  • Log all activity
  • Escalate advanced issues to level 2 support
  • Daily health checks and system monitoring
  • Assist in application upgrades and installations
  • Assist in Software updates and installations

Key Requirements:

  • Technical support experience
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Analytical skills
  • Outstanding verbal and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office and SQL Server
  • Ability to work shift patters - 24/7 operations team

Any experience in the following would be advantageous but not essential:

  • Oracle
  • Jira
