Lead Automation Test Engineer - Reading - £65,000 - £75,000

Lead Automation Test Engineer required for an excellent client based in Reading. Our client require a Test Engineer who is experienced in developing effective automated test environments and is looking for an opportunity to work with the latest Microsoft technology in a highly Agile and collaborative development team. You will have the opportunity to maintain and enhance your skills by utilising the latest technologies and techniques and our client will provide you with the opportunity to continue to broaden your skillset by exposing you to our entire technology stack. With our client currently expanding significantly the successful candidate will pay a pivotal part in road mapping the Automation processes and frameworks moving forward. Skills required:

  • Experience of designing, implementing and enhancing automated test systems by utilising best practice techniques and approaches
  • Strong Agile testing skills
  • TDD, BDD
  • C#, .NET, SQL
  • Great communication and team skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • A conscientious and dedicated attitude

Requirements:

  • Guiding the team to build effective and maintainable tests
  • Developing new features to enhance our new SaaS product using an up-to-date Microsoft technology stack
  • Expanding and maintaining automated test frameworks to improve coverage of UI, API, integration, component and performance
  • Actively contributing in sprint planning meetings, daily stand-ups, end of sprint showcases and retrospectives
  • Delivering high-quality software updates
