Network Engineer
An international company, based in Southampton is seeking a Network Engineer to join their existing IT Infrastructure Department to provide day to day support for existing EMEA infrastructure.
This is a great opportunity for a Network Engineer to develop their career further and become an integral part of the Infrastructure Department.
This is a varied role and as a Network Engineer you will:
- Provide 1st/2nd/3rd line support to associates and document steps taken in incidents and service requests
- Manage multiple infrastructure projects
- Responsible for the day to day support and maintenance of the EMEA infrastructure
- Configure, Deploy and Maintain Cisco network devices across the business
- Continuously develop technical knowledge on established and emerging infrastructure technologies
- Shares knowledge and actively mentors other team members
- Develop integrated solutions to meet business requirements / enhance performance of the IT Infrastructure services
- Provide 24x7 On Call support
- Responsible for security aspects of solutions and services
- Create and maintain documentation
The successful Network Engineer will have experience with:
- 4+ Years' experience of Cisco Networks
- Experience of deploying/configuring wireless technology
- Working knowledge of Datacentre technologies (Cisco Nexus, ACI)
- Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and communication of issues, statuses, fixes and follow-ups
- Demonstrate ability to solve moderately complex technical problems independently
- Ability to analyse and configure complex IT applications
- Proven track record of project delivery
- Demonstrate strong and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Familiar with ITIL and MOS
- Familiar with AGILE methodologies
The role of Network Engineer is paying £40,000 - £50,000 with excellent benefits including, up to 26 days holiday, Pension, Dental, Private Medical, free parking and more.
