PHP Web Developer - Back End - Smart Utilities
I am working with an innovative Smart Utilities company based in Brighton to recruit two PHP Web Developers to join a talented team developing both customer facing websites and internal business applications.
The company is an established start-up with a strong customer portfolio looking to build on a successful 4 years of trading. They are looking for talented developers with a passion for building quality and scalable systems and applications capable of managing large amounts of data.
The primary focus is PHP with Laravel (or similar MVC framework) & Web development. Just as important as technical ability is someone who is driven and enthusiastic, able to work with a small team and contribute to strategic decisions and helping the business to move forward.
Development work varies from small enhancements to large scale integration projects so a flexible and adaptable approach to development and fast changing environments is needed.

The team is friendly, relaxed and enjoy a fair amount of flexibility. They develop quality code and strive for best practice so developers with structured coding principles are preferred!
Skillset:
- Strong PHP 5+ development with knowledge of MVC frameworks such as Laravel or Symphony
- OOP, MySQL, Linux
- Sound knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and web technology
- Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks is highly beneficial - jQuery, Angular, React, Vue etc
