PHP/WordPress developer
Up to 40k
My Client is a global marketing agency specialising in high-quality online lead generation. They are looking for experienced PHP/WordPress Developer with the main responsibility being to manage back-end services and the interchange of data between servers and the user. This is an excellent opportunity to join a global agency with a small family feel and relaxed environment.
SCOPE OF THE JOB
Reporting to the Head of Product, you will be required to liaise directly and effectively with various teams, building websites from scratch primarily using WordPress but some experience of other platforms would be an advantage. You will have the ability to code and build bespoke sites as well as design and develop websites using off-the-shelf commercial themes as a base.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Designing and implementing new features and functionality
- Establishing and guiding the website's architecture
- Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
- Helping formulate an effective, responsive design
- Working with the Product Owner to develop a strong search strategy for the respective product(s)
- Code the design together with other developers from the team
- To monitor the quality of code, while fulfilling the tasks to a high standard
- Do code reviews and ensure high standard of code quality
KEY SKILLS
- HTML/CSS/JavaScript
- WordPress
- PHP
- Solid knowledge of GitHub
- Web service development experience
- Strong experience in web development together with experience with server-side and client-side application development
- Solid knowledge of RestAPI architecture
- Ability to write SQL queries
