We are looking for an entrepreneurial and innovative software engineer, web developer, programmer. Someone with a forward thinking and progressive mindset who can take technology and mould it to build world class tech solutions.
Today you might be an established developer, you might be finishing a degree or you might have been programming and learning tech since you were a kid. Whatever the journey to date, its about to take an upward trajectory.
Who is this?
A Start-Up tech company who are embedded within one of the UK's most innovative and established tech hubs - fully funded, well equipped and well prepared to launch their latest tech incarnation - a utilities switch service with a unique proposition set to disrupt the sector.
This is not the first start-up this company has launched, their wealthy owners have been doing this for 10+ years and can demonstrate £mm income from several of their previous creations.
As such they have an amazing office in Fareham (near Whiteley) with a no expense spared look and feel. You will be given a MAC, up to 3 screens, huge investment in tech & tools, free hot food cooked in the company owned restaurant, nights out, spa breaks and much much more!
Who are you?
Python Developer, Open Source Full Stack Software Engineer, CTO in the making…
You will need expertise in open source and object oriented programming. This product is to be built on Python and Django and you will get to leverage the best available technology to build the solution, pretty much from scratch.
You will be the first Software Engineer to join the team and as such the career path is Developer, Innovator, Tech Lead, CTO.
Supporting you will be two brothers, self-taught tech whizz kids themselves who have been programming since the age of 10 and involved in tech start-ups and innovation for 10 years. An ideal support network to create, launch and build something amazing.
Your Skills & Experience
- You need to love programming and be excited about the opportunities that technology start-ups provide.
- Open Source Technology - You will be well versed in Object Oriented programming with open source technology.
- Python, Django - The solution is being built in Python & Django so ideally you will have built apps using this tech. However, awesome developers can use any technology so don't let this put you off if you are using a different language but are confident in your ability to learn Python & Django.
- JavaScript, JQuery - Easy. You can do this in your sleep
- NodeJS - would be nice.
- MySQL - standard
Salary and Scope…
Salary: £30k to £45k
We aren't looking for super heavyweight programmers who have done it all. We are looking for people on an upward career trajectory who want to be part of a journey, starting at base level and scoping, moulding and nurturing a product and eventually a team.
Expect huge growth potential and a route to CTO level at a rapid pace.
