SQL Database Administrator

Job description

A well respected organisation in Poole is seeking a SQL Database Administrator

The SQL Server DBA will be part of our friendly, collaborative Infrastructure team providing administration and maintenance of the overall SQL Server estate including Production, DR and Non-Production Architecture.

Proven experience of fault finding / root cause analysis and problem management skills is essential as well as the ability to take ownership of your own workload and any issues, managing them right through to successful resolution; ensuring 100% customer satisfaction.

The SQL Server DBA will also need excellent communication skills as you will be liaising with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels from across the whole business both technical and non-technical as well as 3rd party suppliers; contributing to team decisions, continual improvements and also, sharing ideas and suggestions to add value to the team.

The successful SQL Database Administrator will have

  • Significant SQL DBA experience
  • MS SQL Server 2008 R2, 2012, 2014
  • T-SQL Experience, optimising queries, triggers and database development and understanding complex data
  • SSRS
  • SSIS
  • Experience of working with Data Warehouses

Advantageous:

  • Power BI
  • Azure or AWS experience
  • ITIL V3 Foundation

The role of SQL Database Administrator is based in their impressive offices in Poole and is paying circa £35,500 with excellent benefits including 26days holiday and more.
