SQL Server / Business Intelligence (BI) Developer

£45,000 - £50,000
We have an excellent opportunity for a SQL Server / Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join a successful software company at the beginning of an exciting journey. The company have big growth plans and a very exciting pipeline of work with an impressive range of retail clients. You will be responsible for pushing forward technology within the team and have a solid technical background in:-
- SQL Server & TSQL programming skills, stored procedures, CTEs, Window Functions, Dynamic SQL, Knowledge of SQL Injection Vulnerabilities
- SQL Server - ideally 2017
- SQL Server Database Performance, SQL Tuning
- Understanding of fundamental design principles behind scalable applications
- Very good SSRS skills
- Data Warehouse experience, design of data marts, star schemas, type 2 slowly changing dimensions
- Data analysis skills
- Knowledge of column store indexes
- Large database experience
Desirable Experience:
- tSQLt unit testing
- Working knowledge of SCRUM
- Git Source Control
- Visual Studio Database Project
- PowerShell
- Power BI
- Zabbix Monitoring
- UML, ideally Enterprise Architect
You will be responsible for:
- Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable code
- Participating in Agile methodology to ensure iterations are well defined, planned and delivered
- Delivering high quality functional software within agreed timescales
- Review team & iteration performance to identify improvements to future deliveries
