SQL Server DBA
Performance DBA, Portsmouth, Hampshire
£40k - £60k
SQL Server DBA required to join my client in Portsmouth who develop a world leading software product for Business Intelligence. Because of the growth of this product they are a rapidly expanding and are consequently looking for a talented SQL Server Database Administrator to join their team. You will have a knowledge of MSSQL databases (up to 2014) and will be able to provide administration and support for existing business critical SQL server databases and processes. You will be involved in consolidating existing databases, schema redesign, improving database availability and Disaster Recovery. This is an Always On High Availability Environment.
The successful SQL Server DBA will have the following skills:-
- SQL Server 2016
- Production Database Expertise
- Availability Groups and DR Best Practice
- Performance Tuning (Database Environment and T-SQL)
- Always On High Availability
- Azure SQL DB
- Stored Procedures
- T-SQL
- Automating manual processes where possible
- Performance Monitoring, Automation, Documentation, Metadata
Nice to have:-
- Azure SQL DB
- AWS Experience including S3
- Working Knowledge of SentryOne Performance Advisor
- Experience of SQL Server 2016 In-Memory OLTP (Hekaton)
- MSCE Qualification
Salary offered is £40,000 to £60,000 depending on experience plus 25 days holiday, Birthday Off, Contributory Pension, Personal Training Budget and Free Parking
