Senior DevOps Engineer

A great opportunity for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join an award-winning technology company building innovative software and hardware products. This role will join a talented development team and the DevOps function ensuring that their Software, Cloud and Hardware products are fit for purpose and adding real value to their global, high-value customers.
As the sole DevOps Engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for building, monitoring and maintaining Cloud/Software solutions, contributing to the overall development strategy decisions and leading the AWS optimisation, to continuously improve the quality of the service being delivered across the IT teams.
The ideal candidate will have come from a similar role and level of responsibility, and excellent AWS and Terraform knowledge is essential.
Essential skills
- Linux or Windows system administration
- Thorough knowledge of AWS
- Extensive commercial Terraform experience
- Containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS)
- Performance testing, tuning and monitoring
- Automation of manual processes (Powershell, Python, Bash, ksh)
- Good Agile, SCRUM understanding
- Excellent communicator
