Are you a Front End Software Developer based in Basingstoke and feel like you've hit a bit of a ceiling? My client, based in Basingstoke, are looking for a Senior Front End Developer to join their team and work on exciting, business critical applications and software. Not only are the projects exciting but they also use modern development frameworks including Angular (Angular JS) and are soon upgrading to a more modern version of angular (Angular 6/ Angular 7) or React. Th ey need a candidate who is passionate about development yet also happy to continue growing as a developer an is also looking to improve their skillset!
The client are an international company that specialises in developing innovative business solutions and decision support to their clients, mainly in the supply chain and maritime sectors. The role will be focused on the unique products that utilise advanced optimisation and simulation techniques that are designed to help guide their customers to making the best business strategy decision with optimum financial benefits. The products are mainly developed using the C#.NET platform and Javascript Frameworks. The role will also involve leading and mentoring a small team of 4 experienced developers and has clear, but flexible, progression routes either into management or continuing forward with a Lead Dev role.
Main responsibilities:
- Development of new core product functionality
- Maintenance of the product and technical support
- Functional testing of own code, and associated bug-fixing
- Design of self-contained areas of the product
- Creation of high quality technical documentation
- Technically lead/ Mentor a small team of 4 experienced developers
Key Skill Requirements:
- JavaScript frameworks (such as Angular / React)
- Unit testing
- CSS/HTML
- C# and Typescript (desirable, but not a requirement)
- Effective team worker
- Self-motivation and enthusiasm
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
