Senior SQL DBA / SQL Database Consultant - Hampshire
SQL Server, Admin, Oracle, PowerShell, VMWare, Agile
An experienced SQL Database Administrator is required to join a DevOps team based near Southampton. The company offer their software solutions globally and this role would focus on administering, developing, managing and optimizing the company's SQL databases.
The role would join an established DevOps team and focus on the company's extensive databases, using mostly SQL Server and some Oracle. The role would work at a senior level so the ideal candidate will demonstrate strong SQL DBA skills, however competent mid-level candidates will also be considered.
Essential experience:
- SQL Database administration experience
- SQL Server 2008 - 2017
- Scripting with PowerShell
- Disaster recovery
- Understanding of ETL processes
- Agile understanding
- Excellent communicator, able to work in a collaborative environment
Any experience in the following would be advantageous:
- Commercial DevOps experience
- Oracle knowledge
- Microsoft Azure
- Degree educated (ideally)
The companies office are commutable from Southampton, Winchester, Fareham, Basingstoke and offer a collaborative working environment, flexible working hours, modern offices and a strong benefits package. The salary is based on experience from £45,000 - £65,000.
