Job description
Software Developer required by an established software company located in Dorchester. Due to continued success and growth they're looking to expand their existing software development team.
The company is in the process of transitioning legacy products from Oracle Forms & WinForms to more modern technologies using modern software development methods; namely .NET Core, C#, RESTful WebAPIs, Azure, Test Driven Development, Behaviour Driven Development, Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment.
The Software Developer is likely to have proven commercial experience in .NET development with C# and/or VB.NET. SQL knowledge is also essential. Applications considered from those who've worked purely on WinForms, but are keen to transition to a more modern approach with more up to date technologies.
Experience in any of the following areas would be advantageous, but is not a prerequisite;
- Entity Framework
- RESTful WebAPI development
- JavaScript
- ASP.NET
- Test Driven Development
- Behaviour Driven Development
- Design Patterns
- SOLID principles
- Oracle databases and/or Oracle Forms
