Software Engineer - C#, .Net, Control Systems

£35,000 - £42,000 + benefits

Oxford - Oxfordshire

An exciting new opportunity for a Software Engineer to join a very successful business based in Oxford has come to the market. My client is globally recognised across their field and are working with global clients throughout the UK, Europe, Asia and America. The software Software Engineer will design and develop code across the organisations C# Windows applications that integrate into bespoke sensors and hardware to provide and end-to-end solution. This role will provide you the opportunity to utilise the latest technologies on the market such as machine vison techniques and algorithm development to play a pivotal role in contributing to the organisation's software development platforms.

The successful Software Engineer is likely to have a degree in Computer Science, mathematics or similar and is essential you have at least 1 years commercial experience in C# and control systems. You will also have experience in the following areas;

Essential Skills

  • Masters or bachelor's degree in a related subject such as Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent level of commercial experience
  • Windows application development
  • C#
  • .Net
  • Control systems or Computer Vision experience
  • High level of mathematical competence - algorithm development

Desirable Skills

  • Unit Testing
  • Multi-threaded development
  • Python, R or Matlab
  • Image processing or graphics development
  • Agile methodologies
