Hedge End, Southampton, Hampshire

£50,000 to £55,000 + pension and wide ranging benefits

Our client is a multi-award winning specialist of security & public safety systems used in law enforcement, public safety and business continuity. Their far reaching and innovative solutions provide integral digital evidence and data services to over 3000 global business customers. The software & systems they develop are used in high profile, high security environments and require an in-depth level of technical input.

This is a rare opportunity to work with an innovative product launching in an area new to cloud services.

Part of a team of consultants, this individual will take full responsibility for the implementation of software to defined customer specifications. This will include scoping solutions, developing, implementing, configuring and training end users in the full suite of products.

Working in a small but highly technical team your main responsibilities will be:

  • Communication with the customer to determine data handling
  • Methodical troubleshooting
  • Implementation, Support and Integration of customised product suites for clients
  • Working on non-standard configuration requests
  • Manual database and file manipulations
  • Advanced system adjustments

Key Skills:

  • In depth data handling pulled from various sources - databases, third party API's
  • REST and SOAP APIs - writing scripts to query these APIs
  • Understanding customer data and devising how it is best integrated into this complex system
  • Linking multiple data forms to specific occurrences, you will design how this is done
  • Implementation and Configuration
  • Strong SQL skills - joins, indexes etc.
  • Scripting (C#, LINQPad, Powershell or similar)
  • Windows Server and Client Technology experience
  • Implementation and Configuration on Client Site

Nice to have:

  • Programming in C# or similar
  • Experience with .Net Framework
  • Azure technologies
  • Postman or Fiddler
  • Technical Writing Skills
